Medieval hairdress tutorial

Hi,

I made my second medieval hairdress and someone told me it would be a good idea to make a tutorial to help those who want to make it by themselves.

So for the material you'll need:

- a piece of fabric about 7 inches width (you can take it from and old piece of clothing)

- for the length you'll need, you can measure your head and add about 3 inches

- stuffing (you can use stuffing from and old pillow or and old cushion you don't use anymore)

- piece of decoration like ribbons or old jewels.

- a viel or a piece of tulle

Instructions:

First you sew the piece of fabric on the lenth to make a tube (but don't sew the extremity) Then you turn the fabric inside down and you fold one extremity with a safety pin.

You full your tube with the stuffing and then you take out the safety pin and sew both extremity together.

If you stuff it correctly, it will look like a donut.

Then you can decorate it the way you want. For the veil, you can sew it on the tube or just put it on your head with the tube over it.

Hope you'll enjoy this little tutorial. English is my second language cause I usualy write in french so I wish I made it understandable for everyone.

Note: If you don't like sewing a lot, you can take old tights for children and cut the legs off and stuff it the same way.
